This program will be conducted in English.

Native Americans have been an integral part of the United States since far before the U.S. was a modern nation. Native American tribes also have a special relationship with the federal government conferring special, autonomous status. For young Native Americans, this often presents a dilemma where they have to navigate between their loyalty to a traditional way of life connected to land and people and a modern American society that is multicultural and mobile. Join us for a special screening of “Up Heartbreak Hill”, a documentary that tells the story of Native American high school students seeking the right balance between their heritage and modern America.

This program is not suitable for children under 6.
