汉弗莱学者公众讲座:中美危险废物管理政策对比介绍 / Comparison of Hazardous Waste Management Policy Between China and the United States
此讲座将用中文进行。
This lecture will focus on the generation, recycling, disposal and treatment of hazardous waste in China. The speaker will also use case studies to compare the Chinese practices with those from the U.S., Japan and other countries. She will then discuss the progress that has been made in the field over the past two decades, as well as the challenges that have been faced. Better hazardous waste management in China has the potential to contribute greatly to improving global environmental protection worldwide. Thus the purpose of this lecture is to enhance the general public's awareness of China's hazardous waste environmental management and the impact it can have both domestically and internationally.

讲者简介: 张喆,生态环境部固体废物与化学品管理技术中心高级工程师,毕业于中国环境科学研究院环境经济学专业。长期从事危险废物环境管理方面的研究,承担多项固体废物环境管理方面的法律法规修订、技术政策制定和规划管理等重大项目。 2016-2017年美国汉弗莱奖学金获得者,期间在美国康奈尔大学交流学习。2012年原环境保护系统援藏干部。
About the Speaker: Zhang Zhe is a Senior Engineer at China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment’s Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Center. A graduate in Environmental Economics from the Chinese Environmental Sciences Research Academy (CRAES), Ms. Zhang's research focuses on the field of hazardous waste management where she applies environmental planning and proposals to the amendment of corresponding regulations and policies on the national level. Awarded a Humphrey Fellowship in 2016-2017, she also completed studies at Cornell University. Ms. Zhang also worked on a local program of hazardous waste management under the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) in Tibet in 2012.
